ANU-Sydney Philosophy of Biology Group
Both Sydney University and the Australian National University have
strong programs in philosophy of biology. To make the most of these
overlapping interests, we meet three times a year, in either Sydney or
Canberra, or most recently, half-way between at Bundanoon. These
meetings provide a place where faculty, students, and visitors can
present work in progress, and receive the kind of feedback that only a
specialised audience can provide. The frequent communication between
these two programs also provides the opportunity for collaboration,
co-supervision, and maintains a strong Australian community in this
exciting and expanding area of philosophy.
