Reading Groups

Note that reading groups are constantly in flux. The purpose of this page is only to give newcomers a general idea of what is going on. The primary source of information about the reading groups is the Philsoc mailing list.

In RSSS:

Explanation Reading Group

We meet every Monday at 2pm, normally in seminar room B. For more information contact John Matthewson (join at coombs dot anu dot edu dot au).

Philosophy of Mind Reading Group

The Mind Reading Group normally meets on Tuesday at 2:00pm in Seminar Room F, Coombs Building. For more information contact David Bourget.

Evolutionary Theory Reading Group

We meet once every 2 weeks, usually on Tuesdays at 2pm in seminar room E, Coombs building. Open to anyone interested in theoretical / conceptual issues in biology / evolution etc. For more information, join the mailing list here or contact Ben Jeffares: jeffares at coombs.anu.edu.au.

Ethics Reading Group

The group meets every Friday at 2pm in Coombs seminar room C. For more information contact Nicholas Southwood (nfs at coombs.anu.edu.au)

Probability Reading Group

The Probability Reading Group meets on Wednesdays at 2:00pm in Seminar Room F, Coombs Building. For more information contact Alan Hájek, alanh at coombs.anu.edu.au
