Fiona Macpherson is lecturer in philosophy at the University of Glasgow. She is spending the academic year 2005/2006 as a research fellow at the ANU Centre for Consciousness in the Philosophy Program at the ANU Research School of Social Sciences.

Fiona works in the areas of philosophy of mind, psychology and perception. In particular she is interested in the nature of perceptual experience. She is also working on the question of how one should individuate the senses and on the relationship between experiences in different modalities. In all her work, Fiona is keen to draw on empirical work in psychology and other sciences that concern the mind and brain.
