Declan Smithies

Declan Smithies received his BA from Oxford University in June, 2000 and his PhD from New York University in September, 2006. He holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Ohio State University and as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Research School at ANU, where he is affiliated with the ARC project, “Conscious Experience and the Hegemony of Representation”. He will be at the Research School from March, 2007 until September, 2009.

Declan works mainly in the areas of epistemology and philosophy of mind. The following papers are in progress – draft copies may be available by request:
