Philosophy Program RSSS, ANU Brant Pridmore At the time of writing, January 2008, my thesis is about representation in the genome: broadly speaking, whether your genes mean anything in any serious, non-hand-waving, properly semantic sense of ‘mean’. My guess is that, in another 45,000 words time, the answer will be ‘not really’. But you never know. Maybe they do. Outside RSSS I am an economist in the public service, so I’m likely to be the one in the tie. Current hobbies include fretting about my mortality, going to the gym and giving up smoking <sigh>
