About the Calendar

This calendar shows events related to the various branches of philosophy at the Australian National University. It shows weekly seminar series, reading groups, special lectures and other special events. Some events that take place outside the ANU are also displayed, marked with an asterisk: *Templeton Lecture, USYD.

Every effort is made to keep the calendar up to date, but the information it contains should not be taken as gospel, and does not replace a subscription to the philsoc email list. To have an event listed on the calendar, please use this contact form, and include information about time, location, title etc..

The calendar was created and is maintained by Ole Koksvik.

Accessing the Calendar

Aside from visiting this page, the calendar can be accessed in several other ways. It can, e.g., be integrated in major calendar applications such as iCal and Outlook.

1. Google Calendar:
   1. Inside Google Calendar, click the Add arrow button, above the calendar list on the left.
   2. Select Add by URL.
   3. Paste the following url into the text box:
      http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/van93a2vkhlqt5srv6e6b7s178%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
   4. Click Add.
2. iCal: (Version 2.0 and above.)
   1. In iCal, click Calendar, then click Subscribe.
   2. Paste the following url into the text box:
      http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/van93a2vkhlqt5srv6e6b7s178%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
   3. Tick the Refresh box, and define the interval.
3. Microsoft Outlook:
   1. Add this calendar to your Google Calendar account (see 1. above). If necessary, sign up for one.
   2. Follow the insructions here to set up sync with Outlook.
4. BlackBerry:
   1. Add this calendar to your Google Calendar account (see 1. above). If necessary, sign up for one.
   2. Follow the instruction here to sync with your BlackBerry device.
